Eternal Pain

Lost in the silver forest,
Ashen branches sway overhead.
Black flowers bloom through yesterday
And rotting petals among the crushed leaves
Lay stinking around my pale feet.

Innocence walking the dead path.

Pick a flower, spread the seed,
Leave it growing amongst the weeds.
Rotting carcasses of plants once blooming
Now fall to the ground where I sit all alone,
Gentle hands rubbing away the dirt.

And acid tears drenched the soul.

The sickness spreads and kills.
Watch the darkness rising up above.
My lonely death is beckoning me forward.
One cold hand upon my shoulder pulls me now,
A warm heart leads me to my grave.
