I played a little bit of ShellShock earlier in the day. I only have a few missions left to complete and then I guess I'm done for now? I'm currently level 34. I've never played multiplayer so I don't know how the experiences compare, but I'll wait on friends before trying to find out. I did record a couple of the missions today, but I'm not going to go digging for embed links. I'm sure most of you don't care about watching tutorial videos anyway, and if you do you can always check out my YouTube channel. :P Suffice to say, I've had fun and I wish they had more missions than they do. I get that it's a multiplayer game by nature, but it would be nice to have more of an option if you want to be able to play and challenge yourself without the social or competitive component. I guess there are other game out there that I could look into for that but meh... I still think they could have added more to this one - nothing wrong with catering to more than one kind of gamer. Ah well. I actually started feeling really ill while playing so I ended up going to bed.
After I woke up, my evening (I only pulled myself out of bed around 9pm) was spent playing Don't Starve Together with A., D., L., C., and T. We made it to winter, but that's where we stopped. We're still trying to figure out exactly how to go about it, and what we need to do to survive. Most of our time was spent huddled around the campfire trying to keep warm, which means that we weren't out gathering to keep ourselves alive. Choices, choices. Eventually we'll figure it out and we are making progress. Every time we play we manage to make it farther along in the timeline and I'm happy with that. One complaint that I do have about the game is THE MAP. You can't see your friends on it, explored territory is not shared, and you can rotate your camera which also rotates the map... with no indication of N, S, E, W. So basically, you have no real way of communicating your location outside of "I'm in the green treed area North of the portal. Well, North for me." To try and compensate, we've taken to sharing screenshots of what we see, but it's not ideal. Still, it's an acceptable workaround for the moment I guess.

One thing I do like and find super cute are the "Death cards". When someone passes away (from hunger, insanity, or being killed) they leave behind a corpse as their ghost takes off to the portal to resurrect. If you click on the corpse, it brings up a card that says who it was, what they were wearing, and how many days they managed to survive.

Mine after being killed by a monster bat.

A.'s after dying of... hunger I believe.
After a particularly rough stretch, you can have entire areas full of corpses, each with a new "Death card". Maybe I'm morbid, but I just think they're super cute. And clicking on the bones also tells you what killed them. Who needs a gravestone?
Anyway, that's my update for the night - I'm going to bed now. <3 Have a wonderful evening.
