"Step into a hand-animated realm of wonder in which everyday objects take on a life of their own. Uncover the Forgotlings’ mysteries & harness magical forces as you embark upon a quest to return home.It was developed by ThroughLine Games and published by Square Enix (yesss!) so I have high hopes - so far, I have not been disappointed. The game is super pretty and tons of fun. Like the other games I've been playing lately, it's a puzzle-platformer, and an incredibly entertaining and engaging one I must say. You feel like you're playing an anime, if that makes any sense at all. The movement, the art style, the conversations - it's like a choose-your-own-adventure anime game. I'm not sure what impact your conversation choices have yet, but I've been playing a pretty lenient enforcer so I'll probably be bitten in the ass sooner or later. Hopefully I can actually trust those I think I can. But for now...
Imagine a place where everything that is lost and forgotten goes; old toys, letters, single socks. The Forgotten Lands is a magical world inhabited by Forgotlings; creatures composed of mislaid objects longing to be remembered again.
Forgotton Anne is a seamless cinematic adventure with a focus on meaningful storytelling and light puzzle platforming. You are Anne, the enforcer who keeps order in the Forgotten Lands, as she sets out to squash a rebellion that might prevent her master, Bonku, and herself from returning to the human world..."
