Too much time in game - my eyes, they burn

So I played a little bit of FFIX earlier today but I wasn't really feeling it. I kept running into constant battles and it was aggravating me - it wasn't the game I needed for today's mood. I did grab a couple of screenshots as I do enjoy the overall look and feel of the game. P. was right that I'd like it. Admitting that sucks. Anyway, pictures!

I then decided to hop onto Shellshock Live. I'm slowly making my way through the missions and I think I'm actually getting better. I've been recording quite a few of them, and I feel good about the way that I'm closing them out. It's rare that I need to turn to YouTube anymore - I can mostly rely on myself to gauge the shots. Even the battle ones, which I don't record since they can change so much from attempt to attempt, are getting easier. I guess I'm not a total loss with this game after all. ;) I'll post the videos I recorded today at the end of the blog. For now...

Don't Starve Together! L. and I hopped in a game for a few hours and, as usual, had a total blast. We only had to restart once - he chose the wrong setting and we had no way to resurrect when the hounds ate our faces - and the second time around he loaded the caves option which was something new and fun to explore. The game is more complicated than it appears at first glace. Trying to keep your hunger, health, and sanity in check while still making progress can be downright complicated if you get a map where resources are spread very far apart, or where some seem to be scarce or missing altogether. We haven't actually gotten very far into building our settlement - I don't even know what it would look like once built. I've put up fences in a few of our games, but have given up lately because we restart so much. I actually recorded part of today's game, but there are issues with the video. Firstly, my voice didn't pick up so it sounds like L. is talking to himself and secondly, I somehow toggled on a bunch of text and my own face while recording so... You can see me with my lips moving but you can't hear a word I'm saying. Always fun. I trimmed it down, from about 38 minutes to 7 minutes, which cut out the issues but also cut out a lot of the gameplay. Sadness, but at least it's something.

After Don't Starve Together, I did a couple more ShellShock Live missions and then decided that I should probably blog. Which brings me to now. I'm going to end this here as I still want to get my personal blog done, but I'll leave you with the videos I promised earlier. They're tons of fun. Really. >.> Why are you looking at me like that? Meep. Okay, they're probably not all that fun unless you need them to get through a mission. They do show that I've progressed though! Good night everyone! <3
