The packing itself was special. I have no luggage, and I always forget that until the last minute when I actually need it. I swear I went through my closets a million times looking for something that would work. I finally settled on a leather hobo bag I have that is absolutely huge, and which I almost never use. It worked, yay!

That thing is holding 4 days worth of clothes!
The trip was interesting. I had a stop over in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (where it was grey and gross), and then continued to Boston, Massachusetts. Both flights had tons of turbulence but somehow I didn't get sick. And planning? Who needs planning? I arrived at 11:30am, and B. could only get off work at noon to come get me (she lives in RI), so yay! 2 hours of waiting. And. The airport isn't that much fun once you exit the gates / baggage carousel area. It was also cold, snowy, and windy... so standing outside wasn't a fun option. Thankfully I had friends to message because I forgot to pack a book.
Once B. arrived, we decided to grab lunch. She did a quick Google search and found KO Pies At the Shipyard / KO Catering And Pies, a little hole-in-the-wall place that makes Australian meat pies. We got a little lost getting there, but eventually we found it! They weren't the most delicious thing I've ever eaten, but they were yummy, and it was kind of cozy inside. The outside was sketchy looking as we drove through, but I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that it was so wintery out. I imagine that in the summer, with blue skies, calm waters, and some greenery, it would be quite nice and wow... what a view you'd have from the patio.
After that, it was time to get on the road to Providence, Rhode Island to pick up L! We got into a minor road accident which we THOUGHT delayed us, but it turned out that we had his flight time wrong and we got to the airport with 20 minutes to spare. Since it was already past supper time, we decided to drop our stuff off at B.'s and head out to eat. The initial idea was to grab food at a place called Friskie Fries, but there was some kind of event going on in that area and we couldn't find parking anywhere. We drove around a lot (the Downcity Arts District is really beautiful), and then settled on going to Providence Place instead. The Cheesecake Factory, our second choice for foodstuffs, was full so we grabbed cheesecake to-go before making our way to the food court. B. and L. did the responsible thing and got an actual supper. I did the me thing and ate my cheesecake. Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple. It was sooooo good people!
We finished out the night by seeing a 10pm showing of Black Panther, which was amazing. Highly suggest, 10/10. I didn't know anything about it going in and I came out pleasantly surprised. Thanks to B. for suggesting that we go see it. <3 It was super late by the time we got home, and it was past 2am when we finally went to bed sooooo... that was my day. It's noon now, and I'm going to have to end this post and get ready so that we can try to do something semi-productive with our Saturday. We don't know what yet, but I'm sure it will be fun. L. mentioned going to the water, and I'm actually hoping we do. I've seen pictures, and it would be nice to see it in person. Sunday is PAX East in Boston, which I'm also super excited for - I'll try to make a blog entry about that tomorrow night. I'm sorry that this post was so rushed, but I feel bad sitting at B.'s computer when we should be getting on with our day. I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday - enjoy the sunshine if you have it!
